Unfortunately, it was necessary to terminate the contract with the original general contractor and the project is being rebid. The following reflects the new project schedule:
September 4, 2019 Authorize rebid
October 3, 2019 Receive bids
October 23, 2019 Award contract
November 4, 2019 Preconstruction meeting
November 11, 2019 Begin work on site
June 1, 2020 Complete construction
The construction schedule includes a month for anticipated rain delays. The contract with the vendor who will provide the new building has been executed and the modular building materials have been ordered. The contract with the tennis court installer has also been issued. The general contractor will be able to construct the building pad and assemble the modular building once the materials are delivered to the site. The tennis court resurfacing and turf restoration work will require warm weather. This work will be scheduled for early spring 2020.
