The City of Martinez is committed to transparency and public participation in all local government proceedings.

The City Council and each of the City’s appointed boards and commissions conduct their meetings in accordance with the Brown Act, ensuring that deliberations and decision‑making occur openly. Agendas are posted at least 72 hours in advance for regular meetings and 24 hours in advance for special meetings, providing the public with clear notice of the matters to be considered.

Each body follows a structured meeting process that generally includes staff presentations, opportunities for public comment, and discussion or action by the legislative body. Members of the public may attend in person or via any remote options offered, and may submit comments as outlined in the posted agenda.

This page provides access to agendas, minutes, and recordings for all Council and commission meetings so community members can stay informed and engaged in the civic process.
