On-Call Cleanup Services

As Republic Services customers, Martinez residents can request additional pickup services. The latest Solid Waste and Recycling Franchise Agreements with Republic Services allows single family residential customers to nine free additional pickups per year.

Beginning on March 30, 2020, on-call cleanup services are temporarily suspended to help reduce the risk of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Republic Services will call any customers already scheduled for future special cleanups to inform them these services are temporarily suspended. On-Call Cleanup Services include:

  • Four recycling/yard waste collections (which also include household battery, cellular phone, and compact fluorescent bulb recycling)
  • Two waste collections for up to three cubic yards
  • Two "bulky item" collections for items such as mattresses, furniture, or appliances
  • One pre-scheduled "Citywide Cleanup" day in June (unlimited recycling and yard waste, and refuse up to 3 cubic yards)

*Note: Multi-family unit owners may request three On-Call Cleanup Services (two for garbage and one for recycling/yard waste).

To schedule a cleanup: Residents should call Republic Services at (925) 685-4711 the day before their next regular collection day
