Martinez Senior Community Resource Center

Below please find a list of resources available to seniors during this time. Please note we do not endorse or receive funds to advertise any of the third-party sites or services listed or referenced on this page.  This list is subject to change and will be updated periodically.

Senior Nutrition Program

All cafes will be serving home style meals for take away or delivery only, not to be eaten at the café sites. A five-day meal pack will be delivered on Mondays only after 10:30am. Seniors ages 60 and over should call the Martinez Senior Center at 925-370-8770 if they would like to be placed on the list to receive these meals. All orders must be placed by Fridays no later than 11am.

Sunday Farmers' Market
Starting Sunday, April 12th, offering a special early shopping hour from 9 - 10 a.m., which is reserved for Seniors and those most at risk.

Food Bank of Contra Costa
Distributes food to low-income people at community sites and makes food available for other non-profit organizations serving the ill, needy, and infants.

SparkPoint Contra Costa Tax Preparation Assistance
With many tax aide centers closed, many seniors are worried about where they can find help to do their taxes. SparkPoint Contra Costa will continue to provide income tax assistance as it is considered an “essential service.” Appointments can be made beginning Monday, February 1, 2021. This service is a drop-off basis only with a 24-hour turnaround. Income requirements of 75k or less.
