Cannabis Program

In 2019, the City of Martinez City Council approved new ordinances that govern the use of cannabis in the city. The City also released a Request for Proposals in May of 2019 which closed in July 2019. Ten proposals were received.

As of January of 2020, the City Council has selected two retail dispensaries that are moving forward in their development processes. Additional proposals for manufacturing, non-storefront retail and distribution businesses will be presented to the City Council.
