Martinez Marina is just north of San Francisco. For more than 40 years the Martinez Marina has been supporting boating and fishing enthusiast. In 1993, a Marina Master Plan was adopted by the City that called for upgrading and replacing the marina. This Marina is minutes from the historic town of Martinez, along the Carquinez Strait, just west of Interstate 680. Martinez is one of the oldest towns in California, established in 1849. 

Future plans included a new marina docks and slips, deeper water channels for the boats in the marina, new bait shop/market, cultural center, marsh restoration, waterfront restaurant and more. You can learn more by viewing the 2024 Marina Trust Land Use Plan.

The historic downtown establishments are well worth the time to visit! We highly recommend you visit for fun shopping, excellent dining, and simply, a great time exploring!

The City of Martinez is pleased to announce the City Council’s approval of a new management agreement with F3 Marina, a globally recognized marina management firm, to oversee operations at the Martinez Marina starting  January 1, 2025. This decision marks a significant step in the City’s efforts to enhance Marina offerings and elevate Martinez’s position as a regional destination for recreation and waterfront activities.
