Program Description

Home Match is a program, managed by nonprofit organization Front Porch, that connects community members seeking housing with people who have extra rooms in their homes. Each match is personalized with the process overseen by program staff—at no cost to participants. The Program connects matches based on lifestyle and interests to help ensure compatibility, giving you and your match the best chance for success. Home Match services are available throughout Contra Costa County and is available in the City of Martinez.

Program Benefits

The Program provides companionship, extra income, and sometimes assistance around the house for home homeowners. It connects community members seeking housing with people with extra rooms in their homes and/or accessory dwelling units on their property.  Home Match aims to decrease isolation, provide housing security, and above all, build community.

Eligibility

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Live, work, or go to school in Contra Costa County
• Complete a Home Seeker application and background check
• Meet income requirements
