Traffic Safety Committee
Multiple divisions are involved in improving and maintaining our road network. Public Works Maintenace, Engineering, Planning, and the Police Department all play important roles in the safety of our walkers, drivers, and cyclists.
The Traffic Committee, also known as the Traffic Safety Committee, consists of the City Traffic Engineer, Chief of Police, a representative from Planning, and the City Engineer. The Committee meets on a monthly basis to review traffic concerns and find solutions towards improving traffic conditions. You can read more about the establishment and duties of the Traffic Safety Committee in the Martinez Municipal Code Chapter 2.44.
