The new Pine Meadow Park is located at the site of the former Pine Meadow Golf Course. Approximately 8 acres have been dedicated for open space and park use as part of the residential subdivision development located north of Center Avenue and east of Morello Avenue. The park will be adjacent to the new street, Pine Meadow Drive.

In February 2022 the Martinez City Council adopted the final master plan for the new park, along with elements to be included for the first phase of the park project. The first phase of the project will include access points and pathways through the open space areas of the park, a nature trail and with landscaping, accessible parking, recreational turf areas, and site amenities such as an all-abilities playground, restroom, picnic area and tables.

Bids were received and a construction contract was awarded on May 15. Construction broke ground in July 2024, and the City hosted a Groundbreaking Ceremony on July 20, 2024, to celebrate this milestone event. 

The park is scheduled to open with a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 3, 2025, at 12:00pm.
