The Initial Park Survey is open January 15 - February 28, 2026. This survey will help us learn more about the priorities and wants of our community. Tell us what’s working, what’s missing, and what you’d love to see next.

JANUARY - FEBRUARY 2026 Meeting Opportunities

The City is hosting district Community Sessions to kick off the 2026 year! There are four opportunities to see an intro presentation about the Plan Update (and other City projects), ask questions, and give feedback through the survey and to City Staff.

MORE OPPORTUNITIES

There will be more meetings, including workshops and public meeting presentations, where the City will share progress and gather community feedback. Check on this page for more details as they become available; information will also be posted on City social channels.

Once the Survey results have been received, the Plan will begin to take shape! Other assessments are also done as part of the plan, including:

• Assessing current conditions
• Identifying opportunities for enhancement
• Developing clear strategies, cost estimates, and timelines for possible improvements

Ultimately, the Master Plan will serve as a roadmap for creating a healthy, connected, and dynamic park system that supports the well-being of Martinez residents today and for generations to come

 The completed plan will:

• Assess current park conditions, amenities, and service levels;
• Identify priorities for investment, rehabilitation, and expansion;
• Promote environmental resilience and sustainable maintenance practices;
• Reflect evolving recreation trends and demographic changes; and
• Strengthen the connection between people, nature, and community life.

This is tentatively expected to be presented to the City Council for review and adoption late 2026.
