The 2026 Summer Paving Project in Martinez begins the week of June 15, 2026. This year’s paving project will improve roughly 10 miles of streets, and several major streets will benefit from upcoming improvements, including Alhambra Way between Alhambra Avenue and Muir Station Road, Alhambra Avenue between Bertola and Highway 4, and Pine Street between Bush and Howe. Work is expected to continue through the end of August.

This project features essential pavement maintenance and improvement work, such as milling and asphalt overlay work, chip seal and slurry seal treatments to extend the life of the roads, as well as the addition of new ADA-accessible sidewalk curb ramps. 

Clear signage about lane changes, no parking, and other safety directions will be posted throughout the project. Please use patience and caution if you are driving around crews as they do this important road maintenance!
