Allied Waste 2012 "Citywide Cleanup Day" Pickup This Week!
As part of the City’s franchise agreement with Allied Waste Services, single family residential customers are granted one free pre-scheduled curbside “clean up day” each calendar year. This year’s cleanup day is your regularly scheduled pickup day this week, June 25-29. Allied Waste will pick up unlimited recycling and yardwaste, and refuse up to 2 cubic yards, during this prescheduled clean up day. If you happen to miss the citywide cleanup day, please be reminded that as Martinez Allied Waste customer, you have several enhanced benefits to choose from throughout the year, including four (4) free recycling and yardwaste collections (recycling of household batteries, cell phones, and CFL bulbs allowed); two (2) free refuse collections of up to 3 cubic yards; and two (2) free “bulky item” pickups per year (includes items such as household appliances and furniture). Please call Allied Waste customer service at (925) 685-4711 at least a week in advance to schedule a special pickup to be included as part of your regular collection day.
