Martinez Recreation Division provide activities, classes, sports and cultural opportunities for all ages. We create a vital community, preserve natural surroundings and improve the quality of life.
The public is invited to enjoy facilities such as Rankin Park Pool, Martinez Senior Community Center, Golden Hills Community Room, 16 ballfields, 17 developed parks complete with new children’s play areas, tennis, Boccé, and basketball courts. Hike hundreds of acres of open space and self guided trails. Visit the historic Alhambra Cemetery. Reserve a park for picnics and special events.
Public participation is encouraged through the Parks and Recreation Commission, Veterans Commission, Cemetery Commission, and Martinez Senior Club. Check the activity guide and calendars for the many sports leagues, special events, volunteer activities, classes and annual civic sponsored events.
