| The dispatch section is the "nerve center" of the Martinez Police Department. If you need to speak with a police officer or have other business with Martinez Police Department, you will be speaking with a dispatcher. If you call 911 in the City of Martinez you will be speaking with the same dispatcher who will route your call to the appropriate agency such as the fire department. Currently we have six full time dispatchers and five part time dispatchers. They work a variety of shifts that staff the dispatch center 24 hours a day. At times dispatchers are very busy and you may be put on hold while they are handling emergency calls. They will help you as soon as possible. For non-emergencies and to contact any employee or section of the Martinez Police Department please call 372-3440. In 2000 the Martinez Police Department's Dispatch Center was completely remodeled for improved efficiency and ergonomic function. We continually look for ways to increase our customer service with the help of new technology and training. |
