John Muir Festival Center The John Muir Festival Center provides a world-class cultural, educational and historic experience consistent with John Muir's life and legacy in his hometown. Live theater and musical performances are staged at the John Muir amphitheater located in Waterfront Park. The doors to a 176-seat carbaret style theater located at 636 Ward Street will open to audiences in May 2007. A production facility at the amphitheater, an education center at the John Muir Historic site and renovation of the old train depot are currently in the development stages.
