Learn low-effort techniques to recycle yard waste by attending a Free home composting workshop. Home composting is a great way to turn yard waste into a nutrient-rich soil conditioner for use around the yard and garden. In addition to basic bin composting methods, grasscycling, mulching, and worm box composting is discussed. The City of Martinez and the Compost Consortium sponsor free home composting workshops throughout the year. The City also sells the popular Biostack Home Compost Bin for the reduced cost of $53 (retail for $80).
